O ECI Meeting (European Cast Iron Meeting) realizou-se pela primeira vez em Portugal, na sua edição de 2018, numa coorganização do CITNM e da FEUP. O encontro foi realizado nos dias 12 e 13 de abril, nas instalações do CITNM, em Águeda, e da FEUP, no Porto, respetivamente. O evento contou, ainda, com o apoio da Clariant, da Fundipor e da Sakthi Portugal SP21.
Tratou-se da 10ª edição de um evento que reúne especialistas em Ferro Fundido de toda a Europa, oriundos de empresas, universidades e centros de investigação, e que contou com 14 apresentações e 4 debates dedicados aos temas:
- Propriedades de novos materiais;
- Controlo metalúrgico;
- Pesquisa avançada;
- Processo de produção.
O programa incluiu uma visita às instalações da Sakthi Portugal SP21 - uma inovadora unidade de produção de componentes em Ferro Fundido Nodular.
No evento estiveram representadas 33 instituições.
The ECI Meeting (European Cast Iron Meeting) was held for the first time in Portugal, in its 2018 edition, in a co-organization between CITNM and FEUP. The meeting was scheduled for April 12th and 13th, at CITNM’s facilities in Águeda, and FEUP, in Porto, respectively. The event was held with the support of Clariant, Fundipor and Sakthi Portugal SP21.
It was the 10th edition of an event that brings together Cast Iron experts from all over Europe, from companies, universities and research centres, and had 14 presentations and 4 debates dedicated to:
- Properties of new materials;
- Metallurgical control;
- Advanced Search;
- Production process.
The program included a visit to the facilities of Sakthi Portugal SP21 - an innovative Nodular Cast Iron components production unit.
In the event, 33 institutions were represented.
